Hello there! Can I just say what a great week I’ve had you probs don’t know but I’m actually and athlete and run 800m and 1500m. Yesterday I won a really major race and so I’ve been on a complete high at the moment. Speaking of highs happy b-day to the queen’s hubby, happy Birthday! I’ll just add that British people don’t just talk about the royal family and that my dream isn’t just to become a princess having said that though I wouldn’t MIND being Kate Middleton or duchess of Cambridge as she is now. I’ve been on eBay almost every night this week looking at different looks and vintage pieces and I have to say there have been loads that I fell in love with but being the skint person that I am I couldn’t buy a thing! Then even if I did find something cheap on auction my mum would be out and with 2 mins to go I couldn’t ask her if I could buy it!

So I was reading about what I said on my last post and to be honest it is summer and funky prints and bright colours are always a must have when it comes to summer time. Even nature tells us that we must have bright colours, so I brought together some Spanish, rainforest, Costa Rica  ideas and the whole summer evening of dancing with fruit on your head theme and brought it into this outfit. I was kind of thinking summer colours with some ruffly bits but adding a bit some sparkle (not too OTT). This might not be an outfit to go shopping in but it sure does show some bright funky vibes. When most people think of summer the phrases “summer love” and “it’s just another hot summer and all a girl needs is flip-flops, love and popsicles” so that’s some vibes that tried to incorporate hope you enjoy! Was gonna add in a cheesy video of a wedding in Costa Rica but couldn't bring myself to do so, and any other video would meake me look like I'm selling holidays! So here's a poem instead! :D

No Strangers to the Underlying Beauty

People everywhere want just one thing–

We saw this in those dark brown eyes
of the two young Costa Rican girls
in that small village near Tortuguero
Not only their eyes, but their half smiles said:
Lift us up just a little higher
that we may see slightly beyond
Help us remember that the same beauty
in these sweet flowers all about fills us
Helping us get through the swirling darkness, falling
once the sun has set

You are not of our world, but
at the same time
you are not strangers to this beauty
filling the flowers, and all of us

spring summer colour code!

So I was looking at the valencio spring/summer collection 2011 and in the magazines I keep reading "funky patterns, such a trend" but it seems that in most collections there are lots of nude colour like the ones on the wheel above with a splash of the matalics gold and silver (but not to heavy on that), there are loads of ruffels and taffita/net with detail on that and structured tailoring so there's your heads up :0
